Ralph Lewis Astill was born on December 12, 1934 at the family home in Roseville, a fifth generation member of the pioneer Astill family.

Growing up in Roseville until the State of Calif., took the family home to build the new highway (Washington Blvd). The family moved to Citrus Heights He graduated from San Juan High School and went to work for the railroad where he spent the next 37 years. He loved the game of golf and could be found on the greens at Diamond Oaks golf course.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Clara Astill, his daughter Katherine, brothers Manfred, Clayton, and Kenneth, and his sisters Mildred, Berniece, and Bonnie.

He is survived by his wife Linda, children Linda, Brant, and Christopher, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister Willa (Bob) Hovis, and sisters-in-law Phoebe Astill and Laura Mitchell.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the doctors and to Hospice for all of their help.
