Lloyd Edward Wade went to walk with the Lord on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 75. He was born September 22, 1938 to Ernest Lee & Faye Edith (Cogburn) Wade in Fallbrook, California.
He was a resident of Cloudy, Oklahoma for the greater of 30 years. Lloyd was in the United States Air Force from December 1959 to December 1979. He retired as a Master Sergeant E7 after 20 years as an Aircraft Superintendent. After he retired he moved back to Cloudy, Oklahoma and became part of the Cloudy Volunteer Fire Department which he gladly served for 18 years. He loved to ride his atv all the the mountains and travel to South Texas and New Mexico, where he met many family members and friends. He had many hobbies from working on old trucks to metal detecting and reading his collection of books. He loved telling about his many travels.
he was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Wade & wife Trudy of Valley Center, California and Faye Cogburn & husband Lem of Cloudy, Oklahoma.
Lloyd is survived by one son, Shawn Wade of Milwaukie, Oregon; two sisters, Eries Gay Wade & Lonnie Ware of Tenaha, Texas; Lurlene Wade Daniel & husband Gary of Clayton, Oklahoma; one niece, Lidia Mills & her children, Brodie Mills, Robert Hemingway, and Dustie Hemingway of Rattan, Oklahoma; as well as numerous relatives and friends that were very special to him.
Memorial services will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00pm at Cloudy Cemetery in Cloudy, Oklahoma.
