Born in Aurora, Mo., Charles began his banking career at the age of 16 at The Aurora Bank. This set the stage for a long tenure, which included Perry State Bank, Farmers Bank of Stover, The Aurora Bank, Bank of Carthage, Metropolitan National Bank, Countryside Bank, the Bank of Seligman, First Independent Bank of Aurora, and Bank of Macks Creek.
Charles was a member and deacon of the Central Christian Church. With golf being a passion for him, he was a member of Hickory Hills Country Club, Fremont Hills Country Club, and Old Kinderhook Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene; three daughters: Angela Reagan, Terrie Allemang (Arnold), and Debra Rahmoeller (Chriss); one sister, Jean Burnett.; 14 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one niece, Diane Jones; and one nephew, Jack Muench.
Burial in the Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, Mo.
