of Clear Spring, MD passed away October 27, 2018 at her home.

Born January 9, 1936 at Kasiesville, PA she was a daughter of the late Emmert and Rose Rubeck Bowers.

Betty had worked at Angstrum Precisions of Hagerstown for 20 years. She later worked at D.L. Martin Company, Mercersburg, and retired from Lennox Company, Hagerstown.

Betty loved her family and family holiday meals, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Clear Spring, and an auxiliary member of Clear Spring American Legion Post 222.

Her husband, Daniel E. Blair, died January 2, 2006.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Dale Blair, Steven (Lynn) Blair, and Kimberly (Jack) Cunningham all of Clear Spring, seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, a brother, Harold Bowers of Kasiesville, and a sister, Jean Johnson of Hancock, MD. Betty was preceded in death by a great granddaughter and several sisters and brothers.

Funeral service 11:00 AM November 1, 2018 at St. John’s UCC, 211 Cumberland Street, Clear Spring, with Reverend Charles Mackley officiating. Burial at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Hagerstown.

There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
