∼Memorial services for Diana Lynn Calhoun, 49, of Palestine will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Westside Assembly of God with Bro. Bill Roberts of Palestine officiating.
Mrs. Calhoun went home with the Lord Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Palestine Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born April 19, 1959 in Seguin, Texas to John Collier and Betty Charlene Thomas.
Mrs. Calhoun was a Baptist. She had a 20-year career at Murray Corp. and proceeded to work in home healthcare. She was a very thoughtful and giving person and she will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and big heart. She was a loving mother to Michael J. Hickey of Tampa, Fla. and Shelby Lynn Thomas of Palestine.
She is survived by her parents; brothers, Bobby Thomas and Eddie Thomas, both of Palestine; sister, Tasha Lewallen of Elkhart; and granddaughter, Skylar Marie Hickey of Tampa, Fla. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name either in person or mailed to The Anderson County Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 222, Palestine, Texas 75802. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
