Anthony S. Albanese Jr. passed away at his home at the age of 58. He was born to Anthony S. Sr. and Violet Mae Thompson Albanese and had lived in Fernley for the past 29 years, coming from Niagara Falls.
He had worked as a pipe-fitter, a Realtor and active in politics, being a former Democratic chairman of Lyon County. He was a Fernley commander of the Lyon County Search and Rescue, member of the Plumbers and Pipe-fitters Union, Local 350 and St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie and son, Anthony III, both of Fernley; sons, Michael and Scott, both of Reno; brother, Ralph Richmond of Dunkirk, NY; brother, Charles Richmond and a sister, June Richmond, both of Buffalo, NY; and six grandchildren.
