Charles Sanders was born in Nov 1869 in Melancthon, Grey County (now Dufferin County), Ontario, Canada to English-born farmer Thomas Sanders Jr. and Canadian-born Ann (née Patterson), immigrated to the US (Huntsville Township, Polk County, Minnesota) with his family in 1875, became a US citizen in 1884, married his maternal 2nd cousin Margaret Jane Terry in 1892 in Polk County, had 2 children with her, moved to Lewis and Clark County, Montana with his family circa 1896, divorced, married Dora Young 8 Jul 1912 in Helena, Lewis and Clark, Montana, had no children with her, divorced, married Annie J. Berryman 12 Nov 1919 in Helena, had no children with her, widowered, died 24 Mar 1951 in Helena at the age of 81, and was buried in Forestvale Cemetery in Helena. He was a stationary engineer.
