Randy A. Cameron
Lake Forest Park resident Randy Cameron, age 63, passed away on April 23, 2014. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th at 1:00 PM at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Randy was born on August 8, 1950 in Richland, WA. In 1958 the family moved to Buckley, WA, and then later moved to Seattle, WA. Randy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1968. Randy was a member of the Seattle Boys Pipe Band and the Seattle Pipe Band. Randy competed at numerous Regional Scottish Games in WA and Canada. He was an accomplished Piper. Randy served in the US Army from 1971 - 1972 working in a rock quarry, making use of his mechanical skills. After his discharge, he worked as an auto mechanic and as a carpenter. He was equally competent at both professions. In his last years he worked as a cabbie spinning tales to anyone that would listen. Randy enjoyed camping, hunting and Halibut fishing in Alaska. He enjoyed fellowship with his family and friends. He was also known to build and fly remote controlled airplanes and helicopters as time allowed. Randy is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Bruce Barnes; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Suzanne Cameron; sister and brother in-law, Cathy and Doyle Gabriel; brother, Steven Wollard; sister and brother in-law, Sharon and Jack Cook; nieces and nephews, Pauline Overly, Terry Overly, Mathew Hallgren, Robin Palmer, Travis Cook, Bailey Smith, and Randy Gabriel. Randy was preceded in death by his father, James Cameron and his sister, Phyllis Hallgren.
