Midvale - Carl August Lehman, 84, a resident of Midvale for 37 years, died at his home, 232 Wasatch street, Friday at 5:45 p.m. of a heart ailment.
Mr. Lehman was born in Dubuque, Iowa, June 9, 1858, a son of Carl and Margaret Yandel Lehman. He was a retired mining man, having been employed as a master machinist. His wife, Caorline Nead Lehman, died several years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Abbie Kemp of St. George, Mrs. Margaret McMullen of Midvale, and Mrs. Henrietta Olson of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A sister (Theresa Grace Klass [Nov 1871-1948 MN]; although she is listed as Lehman in 1900 and 1910, as was her mother) and three brothers residing in Minneapolis, Minn., also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at 16 West Center Street, Midvale. Friends may call at the family residence Sunday evening and Monday prior to services. Burial will be in the Midvale City Cemetery.
