FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - Services for Jean Dishman Butler of Fort Walton Beach, formerly of Anniston, were Nov. 17 at First United Methodist Church in Fort Walton Beach with Rev. Jim Ross officiating. Burial was in Beal Memorial Cemetery with McLaughlin Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Butler died Nov. 13.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Butler of Fort Walton Beach; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Butler, Dr. Steve Butler and Jacki Butler, all of Fort Walton Beach; and three grandchildren, Ryan Butler, Michael Butler and Elizabeth Butler.

Mrs. Butler was a native of Anniston and a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in home economics. She attended graduate school at Ohio State University and had taught for more than 30 years. She moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1951 and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Walton Beach and the American Association of University Women. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Alma Dishman; and a sister, Hazel Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the music ministry of First United Methodist Church of Fort Walton Beach.
