His is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Sampy Christian; four sisters, Mary Alice (James) Frank, Genita (Charles) Lofton, Brenda (Jason) Porter, Rita Christian; two brothers, Charles Christian and Rickey (Diane) Christian; mother-in-law, Dorothy Sampy; sister-in-law, Martha Peltier and brother-in-law, Hiram Sampy, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Cecelia Guidry Christian; sister, Betty Christian; three nephews, Charles Solomon, Marcus Senegal and Vincent Jamel Christian; father-in-law, Hiram Sampy, Sr.; eight uncles and six aunts; cousin and best friend, Ernest Boudreaux and best friend, Larry Haskins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Raymond Joseph Christian, 63, who died July 21, 2014 at home in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
