Mrs. Catherine Funk, widow of Henry F. Funk, died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning at her late home, the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter R. Clingan, 535 Ridge St., Emaus. Death was due to a stroke. She was in her 78th year. Born in Upper Milford township, Lehigh county, Mrs. Funk was a daughter of the late Samuel and Hannah, nee Weikel, Benner. She was born Aug. 12, 1859. For the past 20 years, she lived in Emaus where she was well known and highly respected. She was a member of the Lutheran wing of the Chestnut Hill church. Surviving her are a son, Milton Funk, of Bethlehem; a daughter, Mrs. Hunter, with whom she resided; one granddaughter, Mrs. Warren H. Kline, of Emaus; and one brother, Jonas Benner, of Allentown. Funeral services will be held at the Clingan home Monday at 1.30 p.m., with Rev. D. C. Kauffman officiating. Interment will be made in the Chestnut Hill cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
