Daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Weaver and Addie Matthews Weaver, she was retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections. She was a member of Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC, where her funeral was held on August 20, 2010, with The Rev. Aleta Ash officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonnie Alton Barbour, Jr., and by a son, Gregory Alton Barbour, Sr. She was survived by a daughter, Donn B. Barnes (Deen); grandchildren, Gregory Alton Barbour, Jr. (Kristin), Daniel C. Barbour, Victoria Elizabeth Barnes and Ginna Barbour; and an extended family of relatives and friends.
