BOONEVILLE – Jimmy Boyd McCoy, 76, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born December 21, 1937, to Allie Boyd and Homer McCoy. He was a member of Midway Free Will Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, July 23, 2014, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Short officiating. Burial will be in Little Brown Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Alecia (Michael) Tennison of New Site; his girlfriend and caregiver, Jane Moore of Booneville; one sister, Vivian Livingston of Booneville; one brother, Talmage (Wilma) McCoy of Summerset, Pa.; and two granddaughters, Michaela and Emma Tennison of New Site.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Taylor McCoy; his parents; two sisters and one brother.
