Omer came to Jerome in 1936. He worked for J. W. Robertson for 30 years in Buhl and Bellevue. He then moved to Dietrich where he was employed be the Dietrich Grazing Assn. for seven years. He then retired in 1977 and moved to Jerome to make his home. He was married to Carol May Byington at Bellevue on September 4, 1948. He belonged to the Baptist church and was active in the Jerome Sr. Citizen's. Survivors include his wife Carol of Jerome; three sons, Bill Arrington of Glenns Ferry, Mike Arrington of Jerome, and John Kyle Arrington of Lancaster, California; daughter, Christy Southwick of Dietrich; two brothers, Ora of Clinchport, Virginia, and Carson of Duffield, Virginia; three sisters, Ona Goins of Rogersville, Tennessee, Juanita McMillan of Duffield and Anna Belle Gilreath of Gate City, Virginia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. Honorary pallbearers were, Ruben Hayes, Al Hayes, Herman Jacobson, Hap Wilson, Bob Weatherton, and Delbert Hall. Active pallbearers were Derris Head, Gordon Ford, Ron Beckley, Ray Ford, Ted Uhrig, and Jim Schrader.
