Dee Mynatt, 49, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, March 13, 2006.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Will Klinke, pastor of the Fredericksburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church, officiating.
Marjorie Ottmers was the organist and Susan Atkins was the vocalist.
Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Prior to the funeral, the body lay in state in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Mynatt was born Aug. 27, 1956, in Naples, TX, the son of Delbert Harold Mynatt and Mary Ann Kasper Mynatt. He married Michelle Anderson on Aug. 5, 1984, in Austin and she survives.
After graduating from Daingerfield High School in 1974, Mynatt attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. After completing the course of study, he moved to Olton to serve his apprenticeship. Later on, he moved to Paducah and then to Fredericksburg.
He was active with the Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Department. Having held various positions over the years, he was currently serving as lieutenant.
In addition to his wife, Mynatt is survived by two daughters, including Kristie Dee Mynatt of Fort Worth and Michelle Thompson and her husband, Michael, of Granbury.
He is also survived by four brothers, one sister and spouses, including Harold Lee and Mary Mynatt of Iowa Park; Mabel Ruth Mynatt of Garland; Mark David Mynatt and Kirby Timmons, both of Dallas, and Matthew Donald Mynatt, of Emory.
Also surviving is a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law and spouses, including Michael and Gay Anderson of Plainview and Marsha and Michael Trotter of St. Louis, MO.
His parents preceded him in death.
