Benjamin CANNING was born in Deddington, Oxfordshire 12th November 1857; bapt. St. Peter & St. Paul Church, Deddington, Oxfordshire 20th December 1857.
Benjamin Canning emigrated to America on the Steam Ship "Wisconsin" 25th May 1878, with his new wife: Hannah GOMM (a Mormon), born Loxley, Warwickshire 3rd January 1857; chr. Shipton-on-Cherwell, Oxfordshire 24th May 1857. The two were married at Kirklinton, Oxfordshire 19th May 1878.
Benjamin CANNING's father is Charles CANNON/CANNING, bapt. St. Mary Magdalen Church, Duns Tew, Oxfordshire 12th October 1828; mar. North Aston, Oxfordshire 4th February 1850, Hannah WHITELOCK (bapt. North Aston, Oxfordshire 24th April 1831). Both of them died in Duns Tew, Oxfordshire.
