On Sept. 29, 1956, he was united in marriage to Shirley (Weldon) Workman; and to this union two children were born.
Wade devoted his life to people and serving others.
By profession he enjoyed construction and heavy equipment work.
He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Henderson Masonic Lodge #477 of Rogersville.
Wade appreciated the outdoors where he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and helping others. He also enjoyed woodworking crafts and hobbies.
Wade was a faithful family man with a life characterized by compassion, sensitivity, love and a caring and giving spirit.
Wade proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War and received numerous awards and honors. He was an active member of V.F.W. Post #7628 of Ozark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers.
Wade is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Shirley; daughter Linda Vice and husband Gary of Oldfield, MO; son Royal Duane Workman of Sparta, MO; three grandsons; two sisters, Lois Day and husband Clifford of Ozark, MO and Lee Anna Keene of Sparta, MO; and many loving friends.
Visitation with Masonic Rites was held Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, with Brother Dale Brown officiating. Burial with full military honors was held in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
