Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Charles J. and Azubah F. (Cornell) Armanetti, she had lived in Westport for the past 37 years. Mrs. Briggs was a registered nurse for the Town of Westport. She was a member of the Westport Point United Methodist Church and the St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, where she served as treasurer for many years.
Including her husband, she is survived by a son: Paul C. Briggs of Hollywood, FL; a sister-in-law: Joanne Armanetti of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Jonathan A. Briggs and sister of the late John Armanetti.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Westport Point United Methodist Church, 1912 Main Rd., Westport Point at 11:00 A.M. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
