Charles "Chuck" Winfrey, age 82 of Reedsville, died on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 27, 1931, son of the late Reuben & Francis (Chandler) Winfrey. After graduating from Carrolton High School in 1949, Chuck served in the U.S. Air force from 1949-1952.
On June 20, 1962 he married his best pal Marion Mulhaney. He was employed by LCL Transit in Green Bay for 21 years and then by Foreway Transit until his retirement in 1994. He was also a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels for 5 years. He was a lifetime member of Amvets Post 1032 of Reedsville. Having a great love of the outdoors, Chuck enjoyed gardening, wood working and was an avid golfer. His life awards were being a great husband, a great step dad, a loving grandfather and a great person. He lived by his favorite saying, "Facts are facts, and you have to face them."
Survivors include a step son Thomas Scott (Jean) Mulhaney of Two Rivers, 3 grandsons, Brian (Laura) Mulhaney of Darboy, Shawn (Heidi) Mulhaney of DePere, Michael Mulhaney of Two Rivers, a sister Jean Mongold of Tuscumbia MO. 4 great grandchildren Jack, Kate, Brody and Oliviana, a sister-in-law Lee Ann Winfrey of Kansas City MO.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marion on February 2, 2014, 2 brothers John and Donald "Sam", a brother-in-law Harold Mongold, 7 half brothers and 3 half sisters.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery Reedsville
