Hugh E. Herington, 95, formerly of Peoria, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1992, at Hurstbourne Nursing Center in Louisville, Ky.
Born Dec. 7, 1896, in Knox County, Mo., to Samuel and Lizzie Swink Herington, he married Mary Faye Mills in 1970, in Kansas. She died Sept. 23, 1977. He also was preceded in death by one son, Robert.
Surviving is one daughter- in-law, Pamela Sue Herington of Louisville.
He was a machine operator for Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 1964.
Graveside services were at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
