Oliver Cornman, who lives along the Waggoner's Gap road (sic) near the mountain, was bitten on the right foot by a copperhead snake last Saturday while walking through his orchard. The foot and leg became much swollen, and the foot assumed a dark blue color as though it had been bruised. The man's case was considered critical, but it is now thought he will recover.
