BELDEN – Phillip "Phil" Holt,53, died July 17, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Michigan on January 31, 1961, to the late George and June Holt. He was owner and operator of Holt Service Center for more than 25 years. He was a Mason and a dedicated family man.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Wes Stephens officiating with burial in the East Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Jill Joyner Holt, Belden; daughter, Hannah Beth Scott (Ty), Southaven; son, Jeffery Holt Jr., Belden; brother, Doug Holt (Debbi), Wheeler; sister, Janell McGrath, Michigan; mother-in-law, Flossie Joyner; sisters-in-law, Jan Bryan (Doyle), Mitzi Nelson (Tim), Joy Lytal (Glenn).
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Holt; father-in-law, Bobby Joyner.
Pallbearers will be Mike Mayhew, Maurice McKinnon, Nick Hazel, John Hazel, Bobby Michael, Vince Haygood, Robert Foster and Jeff Schachterle. Honorary pallbearers will be his Brothers-in-law, Ben Logan Sr., Jason Steel, Larry Decker, Steve Wright, Jeff Scott, Billy Joe Scott, Tracy Jones, Vance Yearber, Barry Gentry, Dennis Stafford and Bruce Roberts.
