She is survived by her husband, William Ernest Gunn.
Born November 2, 1953, in Charlottesville, she was a daughter of Edith Higgs Kerby and the late Guy Sydney Kerby of Waynesboro.
Linda loved music, she was a talented organist and had played for Fairview United Methodist Church in Lynch- burg and Zion Lutheran and Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro. She loved animals and volunteered for Blue Ridge Animal Adoption and Rescue Center. She had been employed at Old Dominion Job Corps in Monroe.
Survivors also include her two sons, Jeremy Saul Fretwell and his wife, Judy, and Guy Landrum Fretwell and his wife, Misty, both of Madison Heights; a brother, John Christopher Kerby, of Millboro; two half-sisters, Judy Hamilton of Waynesboro and Lida Kaska and her husband, Richard, of Fallston, Maryland; a half-brother, Charles Kerby and his wife, Mary Jane, of Joppa, Maryland; four grand- children, Jordan, Lucas, Andrew and Aaron Fretwell; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Zion Lutheran Church, in Waynes- boro, by the Reverend Jim Pence.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the church.
