Frances C. Thompson, 92, died in Hawkinsville on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006 in the chapel of Watson-Hunt Funeral Home with interment in the First Baptist Church of Haynesville Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thompson was born in Pulaski County but lived most of her life in Houston County. She was a lifelong member of the Browndale Baptist Church and was a retired civil servant at Robins Air Force Base.
Survivors include children; Benjamin R. Thompson, Jr. (Janet), Charles S. Thompson (Janice), both of Milledgeville, Dollie T. Stewart of Elko, Martha T. Roberson (Donald) of Hawkinsville, Jerry L. Thompson (Martha) of Haynesville, and Dennis R. Thompson of Hawkinsville; siblings, Meredith Cheek, Franklin Cheek, and Ora Lea Slade, all of Hawkinsville, Virginia Buckiens of Warner Robins; twelve grandchildren, a number of great grandchilden and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin R. Thompson, Jr .and a daughter, Laverne Thompson Brown.
