A native of Rutherford County, she was born on April 06, 1925, a daughter of the late Oliver Taylor and Leila Morrow Aldridge.
She was a homemaker and member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church. She loved to sew and fix hair.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse B. Smith; one son, Jesse Steve Smith; three brothers; four sisters. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Mrs. Smith's Life will be held at 2:00 p.,m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at The A. C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Cash officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Forest City.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
