Helene DePippo, 71, a resident of Andover died Friday May 2, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

was born on March 11, 1943 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Earl and Darby Dash.

was raised and attended college in Brooklyn where she focused her love for fashion and medical fields.

Later, she proudly carried the role as Membership Coordinator for The National Treasury Employees Union at the IRS.

Helene always dressed in the latest fashions as her father was Editor and Chief of the N.Y. fashion newspaper, Woman's Wear Daily.

She enjoyed surrounding herself with a close circle of dear friends and could often be found traveling to boutiques.

She also loved traveling with her husband Ralph, a marriage of 33 years, especially on the European River Boat Cruise.

Helene had a huge affection for music which she and her daughter enjoyed immensely together.

Helene is survived by her husband Ralph DePippo of Andover, daughter Robin Valentino and her husband John of Haverhill, step granddaughter Krista Valentino and nephew Todd Unger.

She was predeceased by her sister Shana Unger of NY.

Family and friends may call on Monday May 5, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at the Conte Funeral Home 28 Florence St. Andover MA 01810.

Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 in the Funeral Home with burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
