JOPLIN — Barbara Ann Rogers, 75, of Joplin went to be with her heavenly Father at 1:35 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014.
She was born Oct. 28, 1938, in Coffeyville to Robert and Nora Rogers. Barbara led a full life as a school teacher at Spring Grove Elementary in the Galena school district along with her lifelong commitment to her church family. There was not one corner of Joplin Calvary Church of the Nazarene that is not full of her memories.
Barbara is survived by sisters, Sue and Charles Blake, Dorothy Dietsche, Judy Rogers and Mary Stuart; along with brothers, Homer Rogers and John and Connie Rogers; as well as 24 nieces and nephews and their extended families.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father and mother; along with sister, Marty Murrow; two brothers, Jimmy Dean and Clarence Rogers; a sister-in-law, Vera Rogers; a brother-in-law, Denny Dietsche; and a niece, Deborah Wallace.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Joplin Calvary Nazarene Church. The Rev. Jade Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Joplin Calvary Church of the Nazarene building fund in care of the mortuary.
