LICHTY, Olive Emma (formerly Shantz) Olive was welcomed into God's presence on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Victoria Place, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Lichty (2006) and the late Lemore Shantz (1984). Loving mother of Phyllis Martin and her husband Maurice. Cherished grandma of Benjamin Bolt-Martin and his wife Elizabeth and Joëlle Martin-Root and her husband Christopher. Dear great-grandma of Westley and Ethan. Survived by her sister Esther Kaster and sisters-in-law Betty Schramm and Dorothy Shantz. Predeceased by her brother Earl Schramm. She was a faithful member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener. Olive was a good friend and neighbour and a caring family member. She was a loyal employee of the Unemployment Insurance Commission until her retirement. Olive's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. East, Kitchener. Interment will be held at Mannheim Mennonite Church Cemetery on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 1 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at First Mennonite Church on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the MCC or the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
