Charles 'Chuck' W. Heeter, Oct. 23, 1932-July 29, 2007, Charles "Chuck" W. HEETER, 74, of 1100 Park Road, Rochester, passed away at 3:08 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born on Oct. 23, 1932, in Rochester, the son of Darwin Dwight and Edythe (Clevenger) Heeter. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Korean War. Mr. Heeter worked at Fansler Lumber in Rochester and was a member of the Rochester American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts. Survivors include his sisters, Joan Atkinson, Rochester, and Mary Gene Groves, Logansport; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alan Heeter and Bud Heeter; and sisters, Margery Ellis, Lenora Sayger and Lucy Lane. His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in the Athens Cemetery, Athens, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Rochester American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends may call from noon until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
