Joe E. Owen, 82, formerly of Kittrell died Friday February 22, 2013 at the home of his daughter. A native of Cannon Co., he was the son of the late Alvie A. & Daisy Patterson Owen, his wife, Mattie D. Haley Owen and his siblings, Norman, Ralph, Ravon, James, Doyal & Loyal Owen, Weeda Gunter, Margaret Alexander and Jean Hoskins.
Funeral Services will be 3:30 pm Sunday, Feb. 24, 2012 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Sycamore Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 4 β 8 pm.
He is survived by his children, Pamela J. (Gordon) Bigelow of Harvest, AL. and Rickey Owen of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jamie Powers of Tampa, FL., Bill Powers & Michelle Pittman both of Harvest, AL. & Kristen Owen of Smyrna; 4 great grandchildren, Justus & Nate Powers, Lexi Quo and Lilly Owen.
A member of the United Methodist Church, he was a veteran of the US Navy and worked in Maintenance at Murfreesboro Housing Authority.
