Donald F. "Foxy" Fox, 75, of La Salle died March 22, 2014, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Hurst Funeral Home, La Salle. Cremation will follow services.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until time of services Thursday in the funeral home.

Donald was born May 13, 1938, in Mendota to Frank Joseph and Mable Susan (Arndt) Fox.

He was a truck driver and served with the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska. Donald operated, along with Shirley, Fox's Tap in Troy Grove for 20 years. He owned harness horses and loved fishing, going to the riverboat and playing euchre with the guys at the bar.

Donald is survived by his companion and soul mate of 30 years, Shirley McClain of La Salle; two sisters, Marie Beck of Bushnell, Fla., and Darlene (Fred) Koch of Spring Hill, Fla.; three grandsons, Mike, David and Ricky Edwards; and Shirley's daughter, LuAnn Johnston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
