Tressie Mae DeLoach
SHREVEPORT - LA Services for Tressie Mae DeLoach, 85, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 10, 1989 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Fisk Ray, Minister of Senior Adults at Willow Point Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Park.
Mrs. DeLoach, a retired clerk for the KCS Railroad for over 40 years, died at 8:35 a.m., Friday, April 7, 1989, at Virginia Hall Nursing Home. after a long illness. She was born in Claiborne Parish, La. and was a resident of Shreveport most of her life. She was a member of Queensborough and Willow Point Baptist Church for 62 years. She was active in the Choir, Womens Missionary Union, the Sunday School Department and a volunteer at Lakeshore Senior Citizens Center for many years. She was also a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.
She was preceeded in death by five brothers and two sisters; Walter, Earl, Meredith, Truman and Floyd DeLoach, Viola Maddry and Gladys Harrison.
Mrs. DeLoach is survived by three sisters, Estelle DeLoach, Alma Hippler and Mabel Flory, all of Shreveport; one brother, T.A. DeLoach of Waco, Texas; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Warren DeLoach, Michael Sledge, Bollon Corkern, William E. Whitten, Jr.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Willow Point Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
