William Sample Dead

In the death of William Sample, Nashville loses one of it's oldest former citizens. Mr. Sample has made his home with his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Thomas Davis, in Grand Rapids practically ever since the death of his wife a year ago the 7th day of last December.
Late Sunday afternoon news came to the people of this place of his death at the Davis home, after a short illness of about two weeks. Mr. Sample was 74 years, 10 months and 2 days of age. Previous to his going to Grand Rapids Nashville had been his home for more than forty years, a greater portion of this time was spent in the employ of the Lentz Table Factory. The Hess & Son ambulance drove to Grand Rapids and brought the body to the home of the deceased late Sunday evening.
The funeral services were held from the Church of the Nazarene Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. R.H. Starr officiating. Interment was made in Lakeview cemetery.
Besides the daughter-in-law, the deceased leaves brother's and sister's, several other relatives and a large number of friends to mourn their loss.
Those who were here from to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Davis of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Sample, the former being a brother, and two sister's, Mrs. Will Green and Mrs. J.W. Knapp, and John Sample, a nephew, all of Evart Mrs. Alanson Wing, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Stine and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Eckardt of Battle Creek, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ling of Charlotte.
