Marie Brackett, age 82, of Bostic, NC, died Friday, July 11, 2014, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was a native of Lincoln County, N.C. and the daughter of the late William Glenn Stroupe and Estelle Womack Stroupe. Marie was the widow of the late Darl Brackett Sr. and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Iron Station, N.C. She was preceeded in death by two daughters; Rosa Edgerton and Virginia Hardin. She is survived by:

The memorial service will be at First Broad Baptist Church in Bostic at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 13, 2014 with Guy Ballard officiating. Interment will be at First Broad Baptist Church cemetery. Memorials May be made to Hospice of Rutherford ounty, P.O. Box 336 Forest City, N.C. 28043.
