a long illness. He suffered a stroke there last fall while attending the
wedding of a grandson and could not be moved.
Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Reedsville Funeral Home
and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville, the Rev. William
Koutnik officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born Sept. 5, 1872, at Hartford, Wis., and March 30, 1910, married the
former Mary Franz at Reedsville. He operated a meat market in Reedsville for
45 years and after leaving that business was active in several other (rest
of sentence illegible)..illness. He was also village assessor at Reedsville
for 18 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lawrence of Rochelle, Ill., Kenneth
of Green Bay and Cyril of Milwaukee: sister, Mrs. Louis Christanilli of
Norway, Mich.; two brothers, Alfred of Hollywood, Cal., and Clarence of
Watertown, Wis.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8
o'clock this Friday evening.
