JOSEPH "JOE" WACHAL
Joseph (Joe) Wachal, faithful husband of Helen and loving father of Jan, Pat, Karyl, Don, Gene went to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, January 26, 1994.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reedsville. Rev. Nicholas Johannes officiating with burial in the prish (sic) cemetery.
He was a lover of baseball, of which he also played as a young man. He was a member of the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He operated an auto repair for a short time then returned to Manitowoc Engineering for the next 30 years. He retired in 1977. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reedsville.
He was born November 14, 1910, son of the late Joseph and Mry Krall Wachal. He married Helen Kubale on May 8, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reedsville.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Helen; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Nick Schiesl, Pat and Tom Burkart, Karyl and Jim Schaefer; one son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Kay Wachal; two sisters and one brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mayme Peroutka, Anna and Fritz Kutil, Mrs. Helen Wachal; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Earl and Phylllis Kubale and Edna Kubale; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Dean and Angie Schiesl, Michael and Brenda Schiesl, Lee Schiesl, Kelly Schiesl, Carri Burkart, Brenda and Sean Bastian, Lisa Schaefer, Brandon Wachal; seven great grandchildren, Jason, Jesse, Joshua, Joseph Schiesl, Ethan and Alivia Schiesl, Ashley Bastain, many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Donald, two sisters, Clara Kugle, Molly Havlichek, two brothers, Qirin and Alvin Wachal.
Friends may call at the Weiting Funeral Home, Reedsville, from 4-8:30 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday 9:30-10:30 a.m. when family rites will be held. There will be a parish vigil at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
