Evelyn "Honey" Janke, age 83, of 623 Manitowoc St., Reedsville, died
Monday, February 9, 1998, at Country Care Group Home, Reedsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11,
1998, at St. Mary Worship Site of St. Mary-St. Patrick Catholic Church,
Reedsville. The Revs. James P. Massart and Kevin Ori will concelebrate with burial
in the parish cemetery.
She was born November 13, 1914, in Potter, Wis., daughter of the late William and Ella (Holst) Bartel. She married John F. Vondrachek on May 29, 1934. He preceded her in death on March 25 1947. She then married Eldor Janke on May 10, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1993. Evelyn was a graduate of Brillion High School with the class of 1932. She worked at Sentry Foods in Brillion and Reedsville and was a cook at the Reedsville Sportsman's Club. She was a member of St. Mary-St. Patrick Catholic Church, Reedsville-Maple Grove, an honorary member of St. Anne Christian Mothers and Altar Society, and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #6179 of Cato. Evelyn enjoyed playing cards, dancing and traveling.
Survivors include her three children and their spouses, Gary and Laurel
Vondrachek, Kiel, John J. and Mary Ann Vondrachek, Reedsville, Dale and Doris
Vondrachek,Brillion; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three
sisters-in-lawand one brother-in-law, Milda Dvorachek, Brillion, Arlene and Vernon
Schroeder,Potter, Delores Janke, Brillion; many nieces and nephews. She was
preceded indeath by her husbands and a grandson, Steven Vondrachek.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. The Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
