Maynard Lloyd Brown died on July 8, 2014. He was 79 years old when he went home to Heaven to be
with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lloyd Brown resided in Brookfield, Mo with his wife Rosetta Brown.

He is survived by a brother Gail Brown; two sisters Dorothy McDowell and Norma Vest; four sons
Danny Brown, Tommy Brown, Mark Brown and Bobby Walters; four daughters Michelle Brown, Tammy Jamison, Cindy Lane and Carla Kerns. He is also survived by many grand and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maynard and Ada Brown of Mendon, Mo, a brother Wayne Brown, a sister Mary Lee Louck; a stepdaughter Samantha Swift , a granddaughter Samantha Rose Seaman , and a grandson Michael G. Bounds.

Maynard Brown retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant, upon
completing 20 years of service to his country. Maynard Brown served with honors during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his enlistment he earned the Good Conduct Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. His occupation in the Marine Corps was listed as an Aircraft Jet Engine Mechanic. In 1971, Lloyd married Else Gertrude Schulz in Tipton, Tennessee.

Upon discharge from the Marines, Maynard Brown, known by the people of his community as Lloyd
Brown, held several jobs until finding his calling as a Baptist Preacher at the Pedon Chapel Church where he met his wife Rosetta Brown and his step-daughters. Lloyd was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather to his entire family. He was also known as a man who would give the shirt off his back to help a person in need.

In the last few days of his life he kept telling his family that he was ready to go home and be with Jesus. He lived his life to the fullest and praised the name of Jesus daily. He is in a far better place today and will be missed by family and friends alike.

Graveside services were held July 15, 2014 at the Missouri State Cemetery, Jacksonville, with Reverend Jim Bolin officiating.
