Gale (Cowboy) Gretz, 51, of 14 Fifth Street, Reedsville, passed away Saturday, February 2, at Holy Family Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville, Father Nicholas Johannes officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
He was born may 28, 1939 in Brown County, son of the late Frank and Caroline Holl Gretz. He married Theresa Behnke in Manitowoc. He attended Denmark area schools. He worked for the Brillion Iron Works for almost 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa; two daughters, Lori at home and Annette of Two Rivers; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Gina Behnke of Brillion, and Chip of Two Rivers; three grandchildren, Zeb, Zachary and Stephanie; six sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary and Royal Cenefelt of Denmark, Monica and Harold Prince of Manitowoc, Carole Reznichek of Whitelaw, Frances and William Schmoock of Cato, Sally Schisel of Manitowoc, Paula Hofman of Cato; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerome Gretz of Manitowoc and Michael and
Theresa Gretz of Brillion; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Warren.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, from 4-9 p.m. today and on Tuesday from 7:45 a.m. until 10 a.m. when family rites will be held. Prayer service 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
