Monica C. Prince, age 83, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah.
She was born on March 21, 1933 in Denmark, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Holl) Gretz. Monica was a graduate of Denmark High School, Class of 1951. On June 14, 1958 she married Harold J. Prince at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark. The couple would have celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary this coming Tuesday, June 14. She was employed at WOMT Radio Station after graduation from high school until May of 1959 as a receptionist. Monica was then employed as a secretary at H.C. Denison Company. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and nothing made her happier than spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years: Harold J. Prince, Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-law: Ann & Allen Artz, Manitowoc, Sue Prince & John Temple, Manitowoc, Mary & Ed Vis, West Allis; one son: David Prince, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Josh Brault, Anne (Ryan) Schug, Katie (Nathan) Luebke, Matthew Prince, Justin Prince (Melissa Bergmann), Eric Vis (Halie Weigel), Aaron Vis, Benjamin Prince, Christopher Prince; three great grandchildren: Tripp and Nash Schug, Aubrey Brault; four sisters: Mary Lou Cenefelt, Carol Reznichek, Sally Schisel, Fran Schmoock; and four sisters-in-law: Theresa Gretz, Theresa Gretz, Bernice (Bernard) Geigel and Dolly Manney. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Warren Gretz, Jerome Gretz, Michael Gretz, Gale Gretz and a sister: Paulette Hoffman.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
