She was born June 2, 1935 in Manitowoc, daughter of Gertrude (Meyer) Satori and the late John Satori. On May 25, 1957 she married Norman Gill at Brillion. Marlene taught for six years at Kasson, Forest Junction, St. Nazianz and Whitelaw. She owned and operated Gar-Rics Ceramics Studio in Manitowoc, and later moved the business to Reedsville. She and he husband also owned and operated Rainbows End Campground in Reedsville for eight years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Survivors include her husband: Norman; her mother: Gertrude Satori of Newtonburg; two sons: Gary (Gale) Gill, Brillion; Rick (Jerilynn) Gill, Whitelaw; six grandchildren: Jeremy, Brittany, Tyler, Ashley, Hailey and Allison; two AFS students: Rene Kneip, Luxembourg, Europe; and Annibal Rossel, Bolivia; five brothers: Melvin (Helen) Satori, Manitowoc; Gerald "Jerry" Satori, Kiel; John (Susan) Satori, Clyde (Cindy) Satori, Larry (Sharon) Satori, all of Newtonburg; three sisters: Janice (Lloyd "Sonny") Lensmeyer, Whitelaw; Sharon (Dale) Kierstein, Colorado; Jacqueline Satori, Newtonburg; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Tom Long will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
