Patrick August Hess, 73, of Muenster passed away June 6, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday June 9th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. Rosary/Vigil was held Sunday June 8th at Scott Funeral Home. Services were officiated by Rev. Ken Robinson with Rev. Kyle Walterscheid co-celebrating. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster under the direction of Scott Funeral Home of Muenster. Military Honors were performed by the Muenster VFW and the United States Air Force Honor Guard.

Pat was born April 24, 1941 the second child of ten of Albert and Agnes Hess. He attended Sacred Heart Schools, graduating from Sacred Heart High School in 1959. After graduation, Pat joined the United States Air Force on July 13, 1959. Three of his four years of service were at Sembah Air Force Base in Germany. After being honorably discharged, Pat went to work for the Muenster Telephone Company in 1963. In 1968, he went to work for Cooke County Electric Cooperative Association where he stayed for 39 years until retiring as Line Superintendent.

On June 6, 1964, Pat married Tommie Sue Hamilton which happily lasted until his passing on their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Pat Hess is survived by his wife Tommie Sue of Muenster; daughter Renate Pagel of Muenster; son and daughter-in-law Rodney and Cindy Hess of Denton; son and daughter-in-law Stuart and Anne Hess of Muenster; 9 grandchildren; brothers Leo Hess, Gilbert Hess, Melvin Hess, Tim Hess, and Clarence Hess; sisters Angie Yosten and Florence Stockard.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Agnes Hess, brother Virgil Hess, and brother Earl Hess.

The family requests that memorials be made to Subiaco Abbey, 405 North Subiaco Avenue, Subiaco, AR, 72865, or St. John Paul ll Catholic Church, 1303 Eagle Drive, Denton, TX 76201.
