Mrs. Lena Rosenzweig, 68, of 1017 Berlin St, Mishawaka, Indiana died at 5:30pm Saturday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after about a six month illness. Born in Hungary September 21, 1900 to Josef (deceased, 1/9/1937 in New York) and Frances (Singer) Ilowsky (Illowsky) (deceased 9/3/1930 in New York).

On August 31, 1907 her family immigrated to Brooklyn, New York, Lena was 7 at the time. On May 24, 1925 she was married to Charles Rosenzweig in the Zichron Ephraim Synagogue, Manhattan, New York, with Rabbi Bernard Drachman officiating. In October 1947, Lena and Charles moved to South Bend, Indiana. Her beloved husband, Charles preceded her in death on October 14, 1949. Also preceding her in death were brother, Henry (Szeren) Illowsky and Ella (Ilowsky) Weiss.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rose (Walter P.) Tomaszewski of South Bend, and Mrs. Frances (James D.) Anderson of Mishawaka, and five grandchildren, Sue, Amy, Sandy Tomaszewski of South Bend and Craig and Laurley Anderson of Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, South Bend, with Rabbi Jacob S. Bergman of the Sons of Israel Synagogue officiating. Burial will be in the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka, Indiana.
