Mr. Louis Frederick Frank of Okawville passed away at the Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Nashville on Friday, March 31 at 9:30 a.m. at the age of 87 years.
Mr. Frank had been a resident of the home for the past two years. Prior to that he had been making his home with his daughters, Mrs. Harold Absher at Nashville and Mrs. Neoma McManus at Manchester, Missouri.
Mr. Frank was for many years a merchant in Okawville.
Louis Frederick Frank was born in Okawville on August 31, 1879, the son of the late John P. and Charlotte Linck Frank. Two brothers, John J. Frank and Wm. G. Frank of Okawville and two sisters, Mrs. Mae Ochs of Okawville and Mrs. Otelia Bradford of Kinder Post, Missouri preceded him in death.
He was married to Hulda Klauke on October 15, 1902. To this union were born three sons and two daughters. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1949 and his son, Rene, in 1960.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Elliot Frank of Chicago, Mr. Louis Frank, Jr. of Grayslake, Illinois, and two daughters, Mrs. Neoma McManus of Manchester, Mo. and Mrs. Ruth Absher of Nashville, nine grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. from the Buchmueller Funeral Chapel, Okawville with Rev. Jack Tharp officiating. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery. Buchmueller Funeral Home, Duncan Lamons, director was in charge.
Pallbearers were: Leo Kolweier, Ed Kerksieck, Bill Frank, John Frank, Harry Klauke and Harold Absher
