Preston Dean Wright
1955 - 2014

Early Life: Preston was born in Murray, Utah, to Norman Edgar and Carolyn Larene Bevan Wright. In 1973, he graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where he had great joy being part of the football team, as well as, playing baseball and softball.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Following high school and seminary graduation, Preston served a two-year mission from 1974 to 1976 for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Delaware-Maryland region. After arriving home, he met and married Terie Haunsler, and from that union, six beautiful children were born. Four sons were named Brandon, Eric, Troy and Jed; two daughters were named Karlie Jo and Rosena. Sadly to all, little Rosena returned to her Heavenly Father a few months after her birth, but there is happiness today, as they reunite. Later, Preston married Cindy Meldrum and assisted in lovingly raising her three children: Jeremy, Melinda and Alena, as their stepfather. Preston loved construction and was expert in the siding business. He loved to fix, repair and invent gadgets. While young, he worked for Southam & Warburton, later becoming employed with Longview Fibre (Kapstone) as their water purification chemist and engineer and faithfully served there for over ten years. Preston loved dancing and music; he met his wife, Elizabeth Bennington Wright, at the single adult dances, where there was an immediate attraction. They were married nine months later, during Valentine's Day weekend, on February 18, 2011. Beloved Preston Dean Wright of Payson, Utah, passed away on July 1, 2014. He was 59.
Survived By: His wife, Elizabeth; his stepmother, Daniele Piquee Wright and her children: Mark, Don Paul, Soroya and Agnes and their families; four brothers: Craig, Joel, Jerry and Nathan; three sisters: Diane Adams, Suzanne Erskine and Kathy Wright and their families; his many nieces and nephews; nine precious grandchildren: Kira, Jaden, Jaren, Braydon, Mac, Zoe, Aimee, Tyler and little newborn, Carlee.
