Wanda Mary Alice Foster Frederick passed away peacefully on January 3, 2007 at the age of 82. She lived a rich and happy life and enjoyed every moment.

She was born on April 27, 1924, in Salt Lake City, the second child and oldest daughter, of Arthur H. Foster and LeNora Thomas Foster. She attended Garfield Elementary, Jackson, Jr. High, and graduated from West High School in 1941. She married the love of her life, Henry O. Frederick on December 3, 1943. She had two sons, Daniel A. Frederick born in 1947, and John A. Frederick born in 1950. She served in the Civilian Personnel Branch of the US Army Air Corp during World War II. She worked for the US Postal Service for 31 years and retired as a supervisor in 1984 to spend more time with her husband. She was an accomplished cook. Everyone loved her fudge and homemade bread. She was an avid golfer and member of Rose Park Golf Course Ladies Assoc. She loved to crochet and made beautiful blankets for weddings and showers. Wanda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended the Rose Park Center Ward where she lived for 46 years. She was active in Relief Society.

She is survived by her son, John (Cathey); daughter-in-law, Angelika Frederick; granddaughters, Dianna, Cindy, Christine and Stephanie; grandsons, Darin, Brian and Shaun; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Draper; sisters-in-law, Gloria Foster and Ruth Stephens; aunt, Winnie Thomas and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her oldest son, Dan and her only brother, Arthur Glenn Foster.

The family would like to thank her neighbors and friends who helped her for so many years especially Weldon and Lucy Simmons, Mel and Janice Dent, Ron and Marilyn Whitehead, Debbie Skidmore, Marianne Johnstone, Rose Hadden, Irmgarde Pohle, and Chris Simmons. Also, a big thank you to Christus St. Joseph Villa, Rocky Mountain Hospice, and a special thank you to the staff of Wentworth Assisted Living Facility, who helped make mom's last months more comfortable.

Services will be held Monday, January 8, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Rose Park Center Ward, 874 N. Star Crest Drive (1840 W), Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call Sunday, January 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, and at the church one hour prior to the services.
