Mr. Veasey was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Monticello, Arkansas, to James Knox and Minnie Pearl (Watts) Veasey. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and served in WWII. Travis married Barbara Inman on Sept. 9, 1976, in Wichita Falls. He was the owner of Tri-State Services, Inc. and was named Small Businessman of the Year. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Veasey of Wichita Falls; four daughters, Connie McKneely and her husband, David of Shreveport, La, Robin Litteken and her husband, Syd, Toni Bevering and her husband, Alan and Lori Page and her husband, Mike, all of Wichita Falls; one son, Kenny Copeland and his wife, Joyce of Odessa, Texas; one sister, Christine Wright of Little Rock, Ark.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eloise McFarland.
For those desiring, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to University Park Manor Nursing Home or to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
