Harriett Abbott, 75, of Searcy, died Monday. She was born March 1, 1939 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Louis and Lillie Mae (Hare) Adams.
Harriett is survived by her sons, Bill Haile and Thomas Vance Abbott; five sisters, Kathy Higgs, Joanne Allen, Christine Kerlin, Doll Robbins, and Carol Lane; two brothers, Clarence Detwiler and George Davis; two grandchildren, Billy Haile and Jennifer Davis; and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vance Abbott; her parents; a daughter, Cathy Carol Obrien; brothers Tommy and Richard Adams, Bill Detwiler and Bud Abbott; a sister, Margaret Rainwater; and a granddaughter, Sarah Haile.
Visitation, Friday, July 4, 2014, From 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Powell Funeral Home, 2602 Beebe-Capps Expy., Searcy, Arkansas.
Interment will follow at Sugar Loaf Cemetery in Heber Springs, Arkansas
