He graduated from Granite High School and then went on to serve 18 years with the So. Salt Lake Police Department. He received several awards for his service to the community while on the force.
He loved fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He watched the movie "Jaws" so much he wore out the tape.
Gary passed into the loving arms of his Savior on December 7, 2005 after a long courageous battle with multiple illnesses.
He is survived by his wife Michele, daughter Tami, son Justin (Jen), stepdaughters Angela and Jennifer, stepson Matt, six grandchildren and two brothers, Kenneth and James Jr. Preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law.
Services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior.
